Recently, Gangcheng district of Jinan, in collaboration with the Jinan International Communication Center, hosted the “This is Gangcheng” photo exhibition in Bath, UK. The exhibition featured 15 photos showcasing the charm of traditional ancient villages, unique cultural tourism activities, and popular tourist spots. It also highlighted the allure of traditional intangible heritage like Panlong Bangzi opera and Jin’s needle embroidery, captivating many international visitors who expressed their amazement.
While admiring the beauty and culture of Gangcheng, many attendees shared their desire to personally experience the vibrant, welcoming, and down-to-earth atmosphere of China, and immerse themselves in the unique charm of Chinese civilization. One visitor remarked, “I often see China’s beautiful landscapes and traditional culture on short video platforms. If given the chance, I would love to bring my family to experience China’s customs and culture up close.”
The successful “This is Gangcheng” photo exhibition has allowed more international friends to appreciate the appeal of Chinese culture, the grace of Shandong province, and the rapid development of Gangcheng district.
