From October 30th to November 6th, a delegation from Jinan visited South Korea and Indonesia. During their visit, they engaged in in-depth exchanges with representatives from the governments, chambers of commerce and industry, enterprises, and Chinese diplomatic missions of the two countries. They visited multiple enterprises in person, held several economic and trade industry talks, actively expanded friendly exchanges, deepened industrial cooperation, showcased Jinan's international image, and enhanced its international influence.
During the visit, the delegation attended the "11th 21st Century Humanities Values Forum" hosted by Andong City, promoting the further development of friendly relations between the two cities and advancing exchanges and cooperation in the field of humanities. The delegation also held working meetings with representatives of friendly institutions such as the Indonesian Chinese Chambers of Commerce, the Indonesian Chinese General Chamber of Commerce, the Jakarta Shandong Association, and the Indonesian Shandong General Chamber of Commerce. They worked to practically broaden channels for friendly exchanges between Jinan and Indonesia, reached consensus on exchanges and cooperation, established and solidified working communication and cooperation mechanisms, and focused on areas such as cultural tourism, creative economy, healthcare, and social welfare to promote personnel exchanges, technical exchanges, and cooperation in project investment.
The delegation held discussions with the leaders of institutions or enterprises such as the Seoul National University College of Dentistry in South Korea, BL Group, Classic500 Wellness Center, and Indonesia's Mayora Group and J&T Express. They introduced Jinan's development advantages and cooperation opportunities in natural resources, culture, education, tourism, technology, finance, and the four leading industries, learned about their development strategies, future plans, and cooperation intentions, and promoted cooperation in various dimensions such as experience sharing, technical exchanges, talent introduction, achievement transformation, product development, market expansion, and investment in factories based on previous cooperation, expanding project-based cooperation in industries such as biomedicine, healthcare and wellness, food and beverages, and modern logistics.
The delegation held economic and trade talks in South Korea and Indonesia, inviting representatives from chambers of commerce and industry, overseas enterprises, and local enterprises to participate in exchanges. They also visited and greeted Chinese staff representatives of the Indonesia Harmony Metal Smelting Co., Ltd., invested and constructed by Shandong Taishan Iron and Steel Group, introduced Jinan's development advantages in resource elements, kinetic energy conversion, and industrial agglomeration, as well as cooperation opportunities in high-level platforms such as Jinan's New and Old Kinetic Energy Conversion Initiative Zone, Jinan High-tech Zone, and Jinan International Medical Center, focused on promoting industrial project cooperation, learned about enterprises' overseas experiences and successful cases, promoted the establishment of a normalized working communication mechanism, empowered and assisted more enterprises in overseas cooperation, expanded global cooperation in international capacity, trade exchanges, and investment in factories, and helped create a new highland for high-level opening up to the outside world.
Jinan boasts beautiful natural and cultural scenery, a convenient transportation network, a modern industrial system with international competitiveness, abundant scientific and technological resources, and high-level development platforms. Jinan is geographically and culturally close to South Korea and Indonesia, and there is enormous potential for future cooperation. In the future, Jinan will further broaden friendly exchanges and industrial project cooperation to develop together and win a shared future.
During the visit, the delegation also paid a visit to the Chinese Embassy in Indonesia to exchange in-depth work opinions on friendly exchanges and economic and trade investment cooperation between Jinan and Indonesia.
